Deathsaw / Laser (TKO's Theory) The reason why I put the Deathsaw and The Laser on the same page is because they are related in that both illusions separate David at the waist, and the top half of his body is visibly separated and moving about independently from the bottom half. Sorry to spoil the mystery here, gang, but there's no magic here... both illusions were accomplished by the same prop - a mechanical reproduction of David. Yes, a robot. The robot was designed to be separable at the waist, and each half are then controled by separate remote controls, enabeling the arms to wave, the legs to walk, etc. This is probably animatronics at its best. Certainly beats the heck out of those Pirates of the Carribeans robots you see in Disneyland :)
