Vanishing the Statue of Liberty (TKO's Theory) Please, what does David think we are? Idiots? It's so obvious how he "vanished" the Statue of Liberty! Ok, here's what happened...When the curtains went up for the first time, David's assistants just knocked the statue down on the ground. When the curtains dropped, the audience did not see the statue standing there, so they assumed it disappeared. Had the curtains fall a bit more, they would have seen the statue lying on the ground. When the curtains were raised again, David's team quickly hoisted the statue back to its standing position, all the while David gave a speech about freedom and ancestors and ended it with a nice phrase "Our ancestors couldn't, but we can, and our children will" (which, incidentally, I borrowed to end one of my high school history report, which got me a really nice grade!). Finally, the curtains fell, and voila! Statue is back. DUH.
