 "The Illusion 13 actually uses two Star Trek Teleport pads: one on the stage where the 13 volunteers are sitting and one in the audience where the 13 volunteers will reappear. Just like in Star Trek, an engineer behind the stage engages the Transporter, the 13 audience members are converted into particle matter, beamed over to the other pad and reassembled where the audiance can see them. Quite easily and simple to figure out really once you put your mind to it."
